CM is horrible, it's an ugly, buggy, poorly balanced mess.

Nothing can beat the original Half-Life 2. MMOD is the best Half-Life 2 mod, in my opinion. After that CM 2013, that is a complete remake to the game. Update is decent. It just enhances the original game, and fixes some of it's lighting.

MMOD and Update are equals in my opinion, Update is the base game with better graphics, MMOD is great, but will never beat the base game. And the base game feels like a wonderful slice of nostalgia cake.
