According to Black Mesa, when you get the HEV suit it tell you his height which is 5' 11" so yeah pretty much 6'.

Im not sure what the Crowbar Collective's sources are, but if you've played the Black Mesa remake of Half Life 1, when you equip the HEV suit, you see a line of code on screen identify Freeman's height as 5.98 ft tall
