Get through Ravenholm with only Gravity gun didn't work?

I wanted to try this achievement tonight as I've never done it before but the achievement never popped. I wanted to be sure it would work so even after the tunnel I've kept the gravity gun for the sniper / combine soldier part until the very next chapter started (Route 17, on the bridge) but it never worked.

At some point Father Gregory gives you a shotgun, I toke it (didn't use it of course) so I wonder it that switching moment could have wasted the achievement.

I accidentally switched weapons a few times in my playthrough of doing Zombie Chopper, but it didn't effect me getting the achievement in the end. I'm pretty sure I got the achievement once I got out of the mines. You should've had it by time you reached the railroad where the snipers are

I can't imagine what could've made you miss the achievement, unless you were offline on Steam and/or had cheats enabled on the console

I never used any cheats and I was online so I really don't get it either. Glad to know we get the achievement before the sniper part. If I have the guts to try it again I'll know I should have it by then but I guess I'll just leave it be.

Basically you can avoid all confrontation from the mine exit to the train car blocking the tracks. However, take dog's ball, a saw blade or barrel with you, you can remove the 3 to 4 BGs from the blocking train car to the perimeter fence area and building leading to the Highway 17 pier then use the GG and EBs to explode the 4 BGs guarding the perimeter and building. Once in the perimeter you can retrieve DB and use it to remove the 4 BGs inside the building.

I used the GG, saw blade and EBs for the achievement long before I figured out how to get DB out of the mine but the caveats are the blade doesn't yoyo back and DB explodes when it gets too hot, wet or near an explosion, both are PITAs.

That said, I'm pretty sure you're weps free once you exit the mine to sunshine and tracks.

I was pissed-off to take more than an hour carefully making my way with sawblades and not having the achievement up to the buggy car on the start of route 17 so it might take a while before I give it another try.

You can switch between weapons, just don't press "fire" for any of the other ones (including swinging the crowbar).

Before you try again, check the in-game achievements list to see if it shows as unlocked there, in which case you'll need to use the "fix" to get it on Steam (and if you have a save near the end of the mines you could avoid having to play the whole chapter again).

To add to CF's post,
Shortly after I began paying attention to achievements, (in game) and long before I discovered "Off line play", (which will affect achievement logging), I stumbled on the personal "steam account" achievements section. Over time I discovered a couple 3 items that took from a couple days to 2 wks to show up on the steam achievement record.

P.S. If I remember correctly, if acquired you'll see the results as you exit the mine.

I tried with a late save and erasing the gamestate.txt but it didn't worked unfortunately.
I gave it another try from the start and this time it worked! Dog's ball helps to lure enemies out of the way every now and then. Just glad I don't have to redo the combine part at the end.

Always, BGs Zs and speeders all go for DB spiders most often run away from it and as long as you don't get too far away or something blocking DBs free movement it follows you. It's possible you had a corrupt file/save that went back a couple saves.
