Be a refinery owner. Sell your first ships. Put all money into the small mining ships. Only allow them to stay within the sector. Stay on your refinery, hypersleep until you have enough money to buy another ship. Keep doing it until you're station is overflowing with goods. Start sending out Haulers with goods to sell. Save up money to either build a station allowing you to buy a magnus x or just buy one from another faction. I dont know if stealing them still works from interstellar pilot 1. Max out that ships cloak, engines, and weaponry. Build a fleet around it. Pick a victim, uncloak, fire a couple shots, cloak, let your fleet destroy the enemy. You could also spam turrets all over the sector your home base is in and around the wormholes into and out of each sector. I literally get to a point where I just get notifications of ships getting destroyed from other factions all over the galaxy and I am god.
You're really not missing much but, if you like that type of gameplay its fun. I play for maybe a week at a time get bored play something else, then come back.
