Annoying Loading Bug

This just happened to me:
While being in Edna's cell, right after hypnotizing the nun (not sure what her name in english is, I'm playing it in german) with Harvey, the battle on the chessboard started. I wanted to go back though, so I clicked on 'leave battle' or something along those lines. When I wanted to enter the battle again, it skipped the short dialogue and froze on the scene where you can see Harvey's face up close while hypnotizing and it's not moving on. Can't get out of that cutscene with escape or anything either.
My last save game was hours ago and now I am seriously frustrated. I guess I was close to the end anyways and playing all of it again just for the last couple of minutes is not an option for me.
Any way to fix this bug? Or, maybe someone would be so kind to upload me their savegame from inside the tower or Edna's cell?
I've encountered several bugs with the game allready but I didn't mind because none of them were a big deal. Forcing me to play half of the game again is.

Oh and, I allready tried downloading a savegame somewhere else, but for some reason it won't show up ingame. When I deleted every other save and renamed the one I wanted to use as 'savegame01.dat', it did show up - but with the same content as my original first save. I have no clue how to fix this and I just want to finish the game, so yeah. Any advice would be highly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't have any advice, but I think I'm having the same problem - did you also equip Harvey with his old eyes? The first time I tried beating the nun at chess with the "old" Harvey, I lost. Now when I try to enter the battle again, it's exactly as you described, I always have to escape using the task manager.
Maybe it has something to do with the german version?
