I'll probably just get it off GOG on a sale.
It should be
The English localization was afaik very bad, but it was supported and playable. So hoping it will eventually pop up on Steam along with more older and classic games.
Are you kidding me? You're better off playing every single adventure game from the last fifteen years in German.
The German dubbing industry is huge - everything from TV shows to movies to games - meaning professionalism and talent is cultivated far beyond what you'll find in the U.S.A.
Heck, nowadays even games originally developed in English tend to have better writing (and acting!) in the German language versions. And with games developed in other languages (e.g. Pendulo's games or The Witcher RPG series) it's no contest, really. The German localisation would have had much more care taken with it, and thus tends to be much superior to the English one.
Note: This isn't an issue about which language is "the best"; it's about developers and/or publishers taking greater care with regards to localising for specific geographic areas.
Deadalic should really invest in some quality translation and english voice acting because every game I got from them I think the translation/ voice acting quality is from average to just plain bad.
Does anybody know where you can find the Breakout with at least English sub? I think I would rather like to hear the German dub, though. In my opinion, the English dub from "Harvey's New Eyes" is saddly pretty lame sometimes.
