Only imaginary characters that existed only in her head were Edna and Garret.
Marcel's explanation doesn't entirely pass the smell test. The actual artifacts of Edna's existence are too hard to wave away. Also note how out of character the apparitions in the last scene are. Would the real Edna really be against murdering the doc?
My interpretation is, Edna and Garret probably exist, but Lilli's view of reality gets more warped the more time she spends in dreamspace.
Yeah I think they might be real people that she has brought into her own world. Cause how else could a little kid be aware of so many things? Mostly Garret. I could buy Edna being made up, but Garret it's a bit too out of the question.
