Second Cup of Nightshade Tea

I'm stuck in Mother Superior's office unable to obtain a second empty cup. I've made the first cup and dropped it. I try to pick up another empty cup but it says "Lilli already has enough cups" but I have none in inventory. I've picked up the torch, tried to light it, got "shocked" and lectured by Harvey the rabbit. I've picked the nightshade, put it in the tea pot, and heated it over the fire. I go back to get an empty cup and get same "Lilli already has enough cups" message. I've spoken to the painting to get the original message to add the night shade to the tea, spoken to the Doctor and Mother Superior again, but still can't obtain another empty cup. Nor can I leave the office area. Damn! I'm on Windows 10 64-bit. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the game but no change, still stuck in the same place.
Any ideas?

I seem to have the same issue on Linux Mint 17 KDE, 64 bit.

have you checked you bag, maybe there is a empty cup? or that would be a bug

I've got the same problem! Only difference is that I already have a cup in my inventory. When I try to combine the cup with the nightshadetea it doesn't react. There isn't even a reaction like 'the narrator would get tired of making up...'

Did you manage to solve it? I'm stuck at the same spot right now, tried everything but nothng work =/

I also texted customer support, the reply was:

You can find the version of your game in the bottom left corner of Harvey’s New Eyes’ main menu. This issue is occurs when the player drops the first cup, we hope our solution will work for you =)

The new update fixed it for me :) I reïnstalled the game. To bad I lost my savefile, but I did manage to finish te game.

still bugged out, I ended up pouring the plain tea into the 2nd cup, i then realized how to make the truth serum but I am now unable to place into cup or empty the cup, game stuck forever, game should have stopped me, unable to give drink as it want the serum doh
