Stuck at Puzzle nearby floor 7 of the tower

It looks so simple, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. The sliding door on floor seven of the tower dumps you out in front of a locked door with two tubes encased in glass, one filled with regenning yellow blocks. For whatever reason, you can't drag the blocks all the way through to block the laser. I'm stumped. :(

Use the square shape in the middle to drag a box and create more squares. then separate portions. Takes a while but it gets the job done.

if you hold down middle you can trace to the end of one of the trails :)

The two paths are upside-down U-shaped, with no empty space in the middle or anyway to complete the circuit. That I'm aware of anyway.

Problem is that it only lets me drag two corners deep, unable to drag two more squares down to the laser.

If you connect the pieces and hold down the middle on the exposed bit you can move the "cursor" to the end inside the glass and then make it move

Oh oh I had to move my cursor while holding middle through the snake. Augh, I feel stupid. Thanks for the help.

Ctrl also works instead of middle mouse.

My mouse has a hard to use middle mouse button, so i prefer ctrl.
