Question about logistics?
I'm still fairly new to the game so maybe I'm just misunderstanding things, but what's the point of logistics things like the conveyor belts? From what I can tell there's no actual logistics system and all produced resources are instantly deposited in storehouses?

You''ll realize a pretty huge production increase.
But? Yeah. The devs seemed to put the cart in front of the horse. Meaning? The conveyors are available much sooner then (least in my first go round playing) the buildings that reap the benefits are.
But, maybe, as far was my experience, I had the buildings upgraded where they would accept the conveyor system.
But the frustration of connecting 'em up "properly?" I KNOW kept me from implementing them sooner! LOL!
Belts and trucks just apply a plain production efficiency buff and do not transport any goods. All the trucks moving or the resources on the belts are just visual fluff. Also note, a conveyor belt has neither a throughput nor a supply and demand. This also means, that a single producing building can give an infinite amount of consuming building via a single conveyor belt the production efficiency buff; and for a consuming building it maintains the production efficiency buff, even if it draws its resources from a producing building or a storage, to which it does not have a conveyor belt connection.
I hope they have used some of this very long period of time between updates to change it to where there is an actual logistics system and all goods and resources are no longer instantly teleported to their destinations as long as there are roads connecting the production points and the storage points on the map. I mean, for me, that is one of the best things that causes these types of games to be fun. It is the challenge of making the logistics system we build in our towns efficient that make the game fun and immersive.

I am trying to think of any other video game in this genre that uses the instant teleportation of resources and goods as long as they are connected by roads?? Anyone know of one?
