Roads not connecting?
I must be missing something - cannot get some buildings connected to road network no matter what I do. Is there a secret to connecting buildings?

Just to clear up some points that lead to some misunderstanding:

- Buildings produce Ressources without being connected by roads, connected roads only raise the productivity

- Roads need (wood)planks/lumber to be built, not (wood)logs - those are 2 different ressources

- you can change the road-building mode from free-form to "straight" (and vice-versa) by pressing TAB

No prob on my two test. When i put road near a building, message no road disapear.
Yes, message disappears, but in building screen it still shows not connected with worker productivity penalty.
In building screen i don't notice the penalty after building road.
Same problem, have built roads all the way round my lumber mill to try and solve it with no luck
love this demo...but, I don't understand the road issues either...:steamhappy Also, for some reason my lumber mill stopped working?

apparently, I fixed this issue by building the road first, then the structure on the road. Not sure if this was intentional or not by the dev. If you're in tutorial mode, you won't get the road option until you're done with the 6 steps in the tutorial.

Last night I had the road issue on some buildings and others not. Added another Lumber Mill and not sure if I built the road first. I did rotate the building to the side that looked like a possible opening from the road. This worked. If building the road first is the fix, then that is easy to implement.

i had this issue, deleted the buildings and rebuilt, and then they connected.
happened to me on the wells, and lumbermills specifically.

That would make sense as well, to rotate the building so the opening is actually on the side with the road. Maybe they will implement some sort of indicator in the future as to which side is the "front" of the building :)
road placement is hard and ugly.Eventhough u can connect the segments they look ugly for this good looking game. Curve roads is a must and nice juctions too thats the only gripe.

I had one issue like that - turns out there was a gap in the road (simply click on the section next to the building and then trace back to check for connectivity). As you can't create very short roads (minimum is 5 sections I think) I simply deleted the section next to the gap and then made sure to properly connect the two (high lighted) end sections.

Problem solved.

Did you check which requirements you didn't meet? A preceding research or maybe paper?

Well, wait a minute??? Lumber yard won't make lumber because I assume not connected. However, I need lumber to make a road? The sawmill didn't need a road to make logs. My gathering camp is working without a road. Both my well and town hall not connected but things seem fine there. What am I, and many others, missing?
