Perhaps the best way is to have them fit or scaled to the props the game already generates. I can only imagine the pathing logistics of automated NPCs doing whatever would be a monumental undertaking, and very difficult even to be practical if one can even begin to consider the almost unlimited scenarios that can be generated in the game's environment.
So maybe there could be an NPC designer studio portion of the game. If pathing and routine scripts can be implemented then maybe it can work. Otherwise, a predetermined pose selector might be an alternative, and you could move and rotate them like the (other) props.
I mean, it's okay to ask for something, but I don't think many people consider the 'how'. Then again, I'm not the dev. They would likely know what's possible or feasible.
Just something I think is possible, but just quite hard to pull off
Also, I'd welcome something like horses and cows grazing peacefully somewhere, which could be contained in a closed fence for example.
Then the whole thing seems a bit more alive, I always wonder who turns on the lights in the houses at night.
I have no wish for humans or NPCs
Side note, I have no idea how y'all have been building these amazing buildings.
Mine just go wonky, flippy, and then fall apart. I must have a different game. 😭
Likely a lot of work. But I would buy that as an extension. :) (of course with an off/on switch for the purists)
Such a great game!
