Tiny Glade

Tiny Glade

Just discovered all the different shapes of doors!
I'm new to Tiny Glade (and new to these sorts of games) - and I just love all the discovery! I thought the only way to make a door was to draw a path up to the house, and get a little rustic "hobbit" door - but I recently was putting on windows, and got the window too close to the ground, and the square window turned into a square door! No "platform" beneath - right on the ground! I tried with an arched "church" window, and got an arched door! I thought you could only use windows to create doors for balconies and the like... so much to explore!

Here's another tip.
Try placing another door/window of the same type ontop of another, you'll merge them into another door/window.
You can stack up to 3.
Another one from me:

Place an overhanging building on top of another one and place a door on one of the overhanging sides (yes, you don't need ground for doors, just the bottom of a building), your door will get a handrail.

Oh! Like a "Juliet" door? Perfect! Right now - I just discovered how to do floating platforms! I can't believe the secrets this game has... I was just watching a Youtube video yesterday on how to get lanterns and bunting to float... Wow!

What's your fave "wow" moment so far in this game?
Only the doors you create by making a path can be entered in photowalkingmode.
(I know my english is mest up)
You can enter a house and start making furniture like beds and chairs a fireplace etc...
Yes this game gives secrets, its suprising what I like about it.
Wow is when creating something out of objects and when it looks really nice. Like a bed made of wood fence and hay or the blanket roles. Put things together like making a table with wooden fence and then put a barrel with candles underneath it. Its like the candles are on the table. Very funny. You can do that with other barrels as well (those with the plant on top.)

You can resize path made doors too, forgot to mention.
Funny how we can have a full threat specifically about doors.

We had had threads about sheep, so why not doors?

You know a game is well made when you can make threats about the most specific things.

Right? I'm discovering the storytelling possibilities of PATHS. My small village has the people that know their neighbours and like them and have well-worn paths to one another's cottages. Then there's the jerk with the fancy house by the water who has the big wall around his place; the path out of his front gate only goes straight toward the town square, not arcing softly toward the public river access where everyone goes, because HE has waterfront property. Of course, there's a fenced off TINY sliver of his property where he allows his landlocked neighbour to access the water through his place - but only right up against the farthest corner. You can tell by how tight the path is how much he resents it- but he bowed to community pressure.
The way this game really allows you to sketch/draw with the components totally freely - really allows you to be expressive with those components!

Get this: When you walk in photo mode on the ground level, you hit CTRL. Little ghost will appear, and now you can go trough any walls/doors adn also you can fly, so you can put your camera anywere you want

thnx for this respons, I didnt know this
if you click on a door or square window you can cycle through different ornament modes.

here's a few window things i learned:
if you place a double window, then carefully drag it over a corner you can create a 90 degree corner window.
you can also place windows on the corner of a building, or a triple square across the corner.

I just learned that if you put windows on the roof you get dormers. Up to three wide!

The square windows on the corner of buildings is a nice feature. You can, with enough windows, get a greenhouse.
