Still waiting on a copy/paste function
It baffles and frustrates me how a copy/paste function is still not implemented into the game yet. Especially considering that you are able to do it with random objects in the most recent patch. Why not with buildings? I understand a multi-select copy/paste function would cause a myriad of issues with performance limitations etc. But at the very least it shouldn't be too hard to copy an individual piece of a building since you can grab and move it on the fly anyway. Don't get me wrong, I really like this game. And what you have accomplished with it so far is nothing short of spectacular. But it would be a much more pleasant experience having a fair majority of the tedium removed simply by adding this much needed feature.

To my understanding Tiny Glade is a side project for the devs.
I really want a copy/paste function as well, but I do understand why updates may be slow since this isn't their main job as far as I know.

I'd say so far they did their priorities right though, as uncapping the light limit is (to me at least) way cooler.

I'll be happy to see what they have in store next though, whatever it may be.

I like to build for a long time, laying brick after brick. Meditate and relax. The copy and paste function will deprive the process of building of meditation.

Just don't use it then.
A lot of people don't have the time to build brick my brick like that, sadly.

I dont need copy n paste. I hope they never introduce it.
All my buildings even if they are similar, they are unique and created individually.
I dont need to speed up the creation or building a glade up process...
If I only have 30 mins spare... I build for 30 mins.
Its done when its done.

So you spread out your builds over a longer time...

You may not want it, but other people do.
To simply not care for the feature is fine, but to actively ask them to not add it because you specifically do not like it is just childish.

I do not understand this gate keeping and elitism mentality of not wanting copy/pasting in this game...

I remember being a child... there was always one kid who wanted the rest of us to play by their own made up rules, and they would say, "If you guys don't give me what I want, then I'm not going to play anymore!" The rest of us said, "Okay. Bye." and went off and played and had fun while the spoiled kid sat and sulked.

How do you know that those that want copy and paste could be the loud crying minority and the silent majority are happy without it?

"Loud and crying"
My bro, this is literally a public suggestion forum... that's the point of it.
The point is to talk, give feed back and ask for stuff! lol

And it doesn't matter who's the loud minority here when the feature they're asking for would not effect you gameplay, builds, life, etc at all.

Why does it matter? If you're happy without it then your gameplay experience won't change at all if it's implemented.
I don't know why people are so offended at the suggestion of such a small feature. If you don't want to use copy/paste in order to have a more zen experience, more power to you; but it's silly to act morally superior because you don't need it.
People play this game differently. Your way is not the only valid one
I'd imagine that the majority of the playerbase either wouldn't care or would end up using copy/paste if it was added. I'm surprised that's such a controversial take

Those that don't want copy and paste have probably not spent hours making a huge decking out of fences.
How is people asking for a copy/paste feature a point of contention?

What is actually wrong with you people? If you don't want it, don't use it. You're like those people in other games' forums who complain when the devs add accessibility features.

This reeks of elitism. You say adding it would ruin your experience, but nobody is forcing you to use it in a single-player game. I think what you're really saying is that other people using it makes you feel like the hours spent placing objects by hand feels less like an achievement to you because you care way too much about how easy other people have it in a single-player experience that doesn't affect you at all. Grow up.

I'd love a copy paste feature too. Also a toggle option for alignment and angle snap etc too. Just for those builds where perfection is a must. Then toggle off for that rustic charm.
A copy paste feature will be very welcome. Since the game's release I've been waiting for it. Recently the update frequency has become noticably slow but I'm trying to be patient. Copy paste is very much needed besides some other features. Those who are trying to be the boss by saying that 'hope they never introduce copy-paste' -- please learn some manners. You're free not to use it if ever introduced, but you've got no right to say that hope nobody ever gets it. What kind of sentence was that?
IFIYGD Jan 30 @ 6:59pm
Not sure how often I would use it, but there have been times where being able to copy-paste a building or wall or fence would have been less tedious than trying to line everything up bit by bit.
Not sure why people are arguing against a feature that would be completely optional to use. Don't want to use it? Don't.
Do want to use it? Do.
Only use it occasionally? Nice that it's there, forget about it when you don't need or want it.

Some people hate the idea, some people love the idea, some people are somewhere in between. And it is quite possible there are people who just aren't giving their opinion in either direction because they don't feel like having random internet people tell them they are wrong or argue with them just for the sake of argument. The terminally online social media culture is ruining our ability to discuss things civilly, and with respect for other people's opinions and ideas, even if we will never agree with them.

Will I still play without the feature? Yes.
Would I be likely to play and build more if the game had the feature? Also yes.
