Invisible cursor on Linux
First off thank you for having a native linux version. But I have an issue where the cursor will become invisible eventually and I won't know what im clicking on. Running windows version with proton fixes this for now

Same here. I'm running Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS on a Radeon RX 7600.
Running it on top of Proton works fine though.

Is that under X or Wayland? If Wayland, then please see here: https://pouncelight.games/tiny-glade/troubleshooting/startup-total-failure/#linux

I'm running on wayland.

If I start it from the terminal I can see a WHITE cursor, and the bug DOESN'T happen. I right click, the cursor disappears and reappears when I move it.

If I start it through steam, then I see a BLACK cursor (the one I have for the system in general), and it disappears after doing a right click, but it never returns.

Thanks for the tip. Same cursor issue, though it only reappeared for me after alt-tabbing to another window. But switching to Proton fixes it. The steam overlay now also works.
(Ubuntu 24.04.1, Wayland)

We also encountered it on kids computer, which surprising to me is actually running wayland via xwayland with an AMD 6600 video card, using the debian installed steam:i386 package

For us it was just the default cursor missing, once you picked a tool or hovered over an item the pointer would change to the tool animation and that was visible.

It's just a bit hard to hit the menu when you can't see the pointer move across the screen.

im having this problem on Ubuntu 24.10 running wayland, with NVIDIA RTX4060 mobile, if it is launched through terminal the curser will appear normally but if launched through steam it will not work

You can work around this issue by proxying the game through gamescope[github.com].

The following fixes the disappearing mouse issue for me when used as "advanced launch option" in steam:
gamescope -W 1920 -H 1080 -f --force-grab-cursor -- %command%

Replace 1920 and 1080 with your preferred resolution.

Gamescope is packaged in most distros these days. I'm using 3.15.14 on OpenSuse Tumbleweed with Wayland GNOME.

Hopefully they'll add wayland support soon, X11's status has been rapidly diminishing over the last 2 years, wayland will likely be the default on most distros by this time next year.

Thanks dude, this did the trick. Now I can play the native version of the game (I was previously playing the game via Proton to get around the bug).
