Currently 1050 GTX User and its working fluently. Never bought a game faster than this beauty right here.
10/10 For me, perfect to calm down after any Situation!
A lot of the previous commentaries give great ideas, but I have a few ones that I did not see for now :
Maybe one day, even have other styles like arabian towns and castles with deserts. All this could be DLCs and I'd pay for it ha ha.
As suggestions - would love to have possibility to make waterfalls in the future, this could make some awesome scenery! Also as much as i love some rocky paths in streams i think some automatic simple bridges would be cool feature to be added. I mean here maybe an option to switch between rocks and some planks to walk on, because in some places something like that would fit the scene more and bridge built by hand isn't quite it too.
Overall so far im enjoying the game, I waited so long to get my hands on it, it's a great tool to create landscapes (which will help me a lot in the future with drawing because I hate making scenery and this game is such a time saver with getting perspective and lightning references and more)!
Hope to see some more stuff coming out in the future, I also hope you will take your time with working on expanding the game bit by bit, no rush at all. It really shows that it was a passion project with a lot of heart put into it
It is missing an asset list - probably the biggest note I have. I know things can pop up with the procedural system in place in addition to adding windows/doors the odd light, but adding your own items manually will take this to another level. This is probably a mute point to make, the devs likely already have plans to do this, but having an extensive list of things you can place manually on buildings or around the premises is sorely missed.
A cool addition would be stringers for things. Dangling lights like you'd see around patios, or use the same thing to make strings of flags, foliage, ect. This could be useful for something like a Christmas update, where you can manually decorate trees or buildings with lights and tinsel.
**edit - stringers exist, I just wasnt placing flags to proc the conditions needed. This is cool, this has potential to making some real aesthetic creations!
Stairs between levels would be awesome, unless that exists and Im just oblivious on how to do it, but I definitely could not get stairs connecting my courtyard with my main building hah.
List of other things on my mind:
-Duplication tool needed
-Tree scaling would be awesome
-Angle snapping? Did I miss this or is it not in there.
-World snapping so if you build something in one place, and another opposite side, you can easily have them be the same level/height/orientation. This would be for better overall planning.
-Delete button should be a hotkey for deleting
-More foliage options to vastly increase variety of things you can make (like a farm)
-More wall options, like thin wooden walls to make a shack to complement the thicker main building walls.
-Option to draw walls free hand or straight. Like the two options in photoshop.
**Edit
- How could I miss copy and paste?! Thats a big one. Want towers around your guard wall with all the stuff premade? Yes please!
Lastly more life, probably a stretch goal. Adding people tending their new home would be awesome - sitting in chairs, walking around the property, interacting with assets you place down, ect. Also animals, I can see people wanting to build farms and such, manually adding other wild life would be cool.
Ultimately, this is a diorama game, giving more and more options to make things exceedingly detailed would be the correct path to take :) Look forward to where this game goes and what people create!
Who would thought such a small game has such potential.
