Are the developers planning on free updates?
I'm interested in getting the game, and I'm not saying it needs updates to be worth buying. But I do want more content/options in game than I'm seeing online. More space to build, more options for build styles and setting. If the devs are planning free updates, that would be awesome. If they aren't that's of course ok, but I might wait to get it for a sale or dlc to come.

After that they are excited to return to the game. I imagine that for quite a while what you will see are updates to the base. They are already on the 3rd update since release.

There have been several updates since launch. A few are patches to deal with bugs, etc but several have focused on expanding the build tools and giving us more variety.
And, we have pumpkins this week too. 🎃

I hope they add little people (sort of goofy-looking little guys and gals) who just move about going about their business and interacting with whatever is in the scene at any given time. Would be so cozy if they sat on the benches. Went and picked some flowers. Fishing. Maybe a blacksmith hammering. A baker. Would love that. It's basically the only thing keeping me from buying it right now (although I might just to support them and then play it later on) when it's been expanded a bit. It does seem a bit like it's missing people.

Other ideas: If people meet on a path they could stop and have a chat with each other. Children could be playing. Couples could go for picnics in the forest or on the grass.

It should all "just happen" around the buildings.
