443W Power Draw and Rising Temps on RTX 4090!
It's quite a relaxing game, but this thing is drawing a hefty 443W from my RTX 4090, pushing the temperatures up to 83°C with a hot spot reaching 97°C! Typically, even with demanding games, I see temps between 65°C and 72°C, and my hot spot temperature rarely goes above 82°C.

Given all the processing involved, I expected a certain load, but even titles like Silent Hill 2, Space Marines 2, God of War: Ragnarok, and the photo-realistic Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II don’t come close to these temperatures—they actually run more than 10°C cooler in some cases. What could be driving such a temperature spike here?

good question. at 4k with a resolution scale of 1.5 it barely moves the needle for me on my RTX3070. temps are a fairly constant 66/67, even after many hours on a heavy build and fans don't even spin up past idle. GPU power draw on one of my most intensive builds is around 140W. (Not overclocking or anything).

I'm not overclocking my system either; I have a 7950X CPU, and everything stays cool in any other game. It was actually the fan noise that tipped me off to the intense heat generated by this particular game. When I launched the NVIDIA overlay through their app, I could see both the temperatures and the power draw. I’ve even capped the FPS at 60, yet the GPU is still drawing an excessive amount of power and running hot.
