As for delete, again, modifier or key to toggle between "building" and removing mode (i.e. drawing roads vs. deleting them) would be preferred.
Dunno if it would benefit from this because perfection comes with inperfection. When you can copy paste the structures you build would look to static. The little gaps and inperfection placed walls give the whole thing its identity and makes it so something unique.
At least I think so. This is why I love medival architecture. Because you can find these inperfections on the buildings back then and this gives them character.
I agree, and you would still get those little imperfections even when using cloning unless you would take time to fiddle with the placement (or using some snapping / grid functionality, if available).
I see it as a purely optional function. Sometimes you need (sort-of) symmetrical design, or for example create multiple hanging towers. It gets really cumbersome to create each and every one from scratch.
