Tiny Glade

Tiny Glade

Won't Start
I can definitely run Tiny Glade (I mean my laptop can handle Cyberpunk 2077 so it can definitely run this), my drivers are completely up-to-date. there is no error message or anything, steam simply says "running" when i click "play" and then it stops.
Update: verified integrity of game files, uninstalled and then reinstalled. Still not working.'
Windows 11 btw

Thank you for reporting! <3 If you'd like to help us out, and try a few troubleshooting steps, we've just posted an update with some potential workarounds: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2198150/view/4156338670602793643?l=english

If none of those work for you, can you please check if you have any files inside
%USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Tiny Glade\Steam\YourSteamId\
?

if you enter
%USERPROFILE%
into Explorer, it should expand into something like "C:\users\yourname"

And "YourSteamId" is going to be a number specific to your Steam account.

If you happen to have a folder called "tmp" there with a "log.txt" file, please post it (assuming you're okay with that) - it might help us diagnose the problem.

It might also be worth trying to launch the game directly without the help of Steam. For that you'd right-click Tiny Glade Demo in your Steam Library, then from the "Manage" sub-menu select "Browse local files". It should open an Explorer folder that contains "tiny-glade.exe". If you double-click that, that should launch the game without relying on Steam - or perhaps Windows will show us an error that contains some useful information.

Thank you kindly 💞

my laptop doesn't use HDR in my settings, and that pathway is not valid. I do not have a folder called "saved games" and when I do manage to find my steam folder, there is nothing called "steamid"
when i click on the "tiny-glade" application, it does not open. When I try and force it to, it does not open.

Hey, do you get a crash reporter popping up offering to send a report? This appears to be the log off the reporter itself, and not of the game, so it doesn't contain any info about the crash.

Reinstalling the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables fixed the problem for me.

In my scenario, i was getting this error when I try to launch the game from directly tiny-glade.exe:

"The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140.dll was not found. Resinstalling the program may fix the problem."

Thank you so much for the information! I'll add it to our troubleshooting guide. It's strange that it was missing for you - we've configured our Steam distribution settings so that Steam installs this runtime :o
