The cutscene rolls and then you are taken to what the devs call the "adventure frame."
You play as Ray and you stare at a soldier guy crouching up there just left of center (of your frozen in place bullseye). You are perhaps just hiding. Hiding and not moving could be the mission. You think about changing weapons, but pressing "B7" or Joy0" is a test you will fail forever.
The singleplayer story lasts for seventeen hundred hours. A little short for my tastes.
Try to move any part of your body. Can't! Maybe you are a helpless head-to-toe paralytic, or you are faking that to just secretly perve on watching dudes' asses who are in the fight that you are too much of a wuss to join. Did you select "real man" in the settings? I did. But I still urinated on myself just as soon as those bomb sounds started.
Yeah, there is just one battle going on over that trench top or whatever that will never change in any way. It's a gif loop the devs labored to make for what they call "atmospheric immersion." They nailed it.
Oh, if you click "download maps" you will notice your PC's malware security software immediately warning you that the game link is now malware. The maps are malware. You bought that.
I'm sure the devs are working on that glitch with the maps.
The fun is to sit there motionless, neck paralyzed.....and to stare unblinkingly. And listen to the distant battle noises.
There's a Confederate flag barely visible pretty far up to your right. Watch that wave to and fro. Feel free to masturbate when this gets old.
i figured it out. for me at least. I set it to xbox360 controller in game options and then also in the steam menu if you click on the game there will be a tab that says "controller layout" next to gudies, discussions etc... Click on that and also set it to 360 controller instead of mouse and voila.
Yes, this works for me as well. Thnx for the fix :)
Ps Is a pretty old game with crappy graphics, but loved the first one years and years ago . . . .
Unfortunately, it looks like you have to either completely use a standard game controller, or completely use a K/M setup. Joystick/Mouse hybrid with Steam Controller worked flawlessly in Gunslinger. I like full control with analog movements of a joystick and accuracy of a mouse, so I will be skipping this game :(
