Did they took off the Italian language from the game?

I was very interested in this game but I noticed that in the DKS version of the game there are the italian subtitles,but now on the Developer's Cut they disappeared. Can someone control if this is a Steam page error or they really removed the subtitles?

Ciao sono Italiano anche io. Siccome ho Ego Draconis, ho paura ad installare il Director's Cut in quanto temo di "annullare" i salvataggi precedenti e ci sto ancora giocando. Percaso i tuoi salvataggi funzonano ancora? CIao e grazie

Sorry for the delay. Yeah, there is no Italian text in this version of the game, BUT, if you mod two files you can have the italian text back. No idea why larian studios did this. :)

To translate the game travel to: steamapps\common\divinity2_dev_cut and open lang.ini
and mod it like this:
[general]
Language=IT
LanguageFull=ITALIAN

then go to steamapps\common\divinity2_dev_cut\Data and open language.xml with notepad then mod it like this:

<Languages>
<Language XBox="Default" Spoken="English" Text="Italian" />
</Languages>

save, and now you can enjoy the game in full text Italian language. :)

Considered how small the tweak is, I'm fairly sure that they'll end up patching it in in the future... as long as someone notifies them, that is :P

Larian needs the approval of the publisher to use a particular localization in a new release. When asked about an Italian version of the anthology in the Larian forum, the official reply was that it was not included 'at this time'. Presumably the the non-committal answer means they are still in the process of trying to secure the legal right to release an Italian version of D2DC.

FYI: Spanish and Italian for Divinity 2 Developer's Cut were added to Steam. But it's basically the tweak proposed above and some up to date / localized movies.
