The option to start a new character in the FoV section was primarily for those who played the original release of D2:ED and didn't want to start at the beginning again to play the add-on.
would love (but not expect) a reply to this.
WHAT F*CKING BULL SH*T!
love the game and all but realy? thats it? the divine walks out and we nolonger give two craps about damian? what about rhode? shes stuck as a statue in some ruin under our feet FOR CRYINGOUTLOUD!!!
what happens to us? the slayers? do they disband? do they hate us and form a new 'black ring'?
do we join them and become the most powerful guild? one city remains standing and we end HERE? what of tanala? the dragon knight that gave us here powers? her spirit lives but we gave up when she was repaced by that witch-b*tch! we could save her! so meny could be saved! and we just F*CK OFF AND PAN-VIEW OUT TO A CAT IN A RUIN? WHY A CAT? WHAT SIGIFICANCE HAS THE CAT GOT TO DO WITH ANYTHING?!?!...
again...love the game...
Since the basis for the formation of the Slayers has been proven to be a lie, they would either have to disband or re-focus on fighting the Black Ring (perpetrators of that lie). That could be kind of interesting, the ex-Slayers doing penance for their misguided genocide by becoming dragon knights...
The end of the story arc with Damian will have to wait for another game to finish.
I'm playing the GOG version
The GOG version is the Developer's Cut release, so save compatibility isn't an issue.
I had no idea that the expansion was seamlessly integrated into ED. I don't remember it ever saying that I was now playing the FOV. So I guess I finished it all after all. Thanks for clarifying that.
