I did it and work here! sorry for my english.. uahauhau =P
Did you try starting the game directly from the Divinity2.exe / Divinity2-debug.exe program files in the ..\divinity2_dev_cut\bin\ install folder?
Do you have large fonts set in Windows? Check Display in the Control Panel and make sure it is set to 100% (smaller).
Is your desktop set to 32 bit true colour (more than likely it is). You can check by right clicking on the desktop, selecting Screen resolution, advanced settings, list all modes (or in XP, right click the desktop, properties, settings). In the unlikely event it is set to 16 bit high colour, change it.
If you have crossfire or SLI you can try disabling it temporarily.
It sounds like you have tried a lot of the suggestions in the topics below, but perhaps not all...
Divinity 2 Developer's Cut Woes
My game just shuts down upon starting to play...[www.larian.com]
Divinity 2 won't play[www.larian.com]

Crashes on Boot. - think you've checked / tried all of this
Not impressed with this! I'm guessing its a win7 problem. It doesnt let me update the physx file either as it says the currently installed drivers are newer than the ones your trying to install.
All videos in the directory run fine by the way. I tried rename the intro one but same problem so i named it back to intro.
To note is that I could play Elder Scrolls: Oblivion a few months ago, and I played a bit of Divinity 2: Eco Draconis (a borrowed copy, bought Director's cut to have my own) about six months or more ago on this system, and both ran without problems. But now when I heard the two could be connected I tried to run Oblivion, and it crashed in a similar way. I have only installed other Steam games since then, and updated windows and drivers. I did uninstall the K-Lite codec pack before trying Oblivion, but that shouldn't ruin Oblivion should it?
* Tried to run all those files. They all install correctly or say a newer version is already installed.
* Verified Integrity of bla bla.
* Uninstalled and reinstalled NVIDIA PhysX with a reboot in between.
* Used the tool they recommend (DirectShowFilterManager); clicking on "Restore standard DirectX codecs" doesn't appear to do anything, although something might be happening that I can't see, I guess. But no difference in Divinity.
* Installed the ac3 codec.
* Made sure I do not have ffdshow. Some ffdshow codecs and filters come with a program called PS3 Media Server, but I have uninstalled the program and can't find evidence of the codecs still being there. I also already had PS3 Media Server back when Divinity and Oblivion worked for me.
* Note that TURNING OFF VIDEOS only works for _in-game cutscenes_. The issue we're having is already with the videos at the very beginning before the game has even started, the logo and such, and those will still try to play.
I have also updated graphic card drivers, tried to set PhysX to cpu instead of gpu, and used specific uninstall cleaning software to make sure K-Lite and MPC are properly gone.
END RESULT: now I don't even hear that second of sound before it crashes, and feel like I've wasted a lot of time on this stuff :s
Now instead of using steam I used the autorun file in the game folder itself and tada working.
hope this is your magical fix ;)
