You could have found this information on a 5 min search on google...
ego draconis it's the "base game", the dragon knight saga includes the dlc flames of vengeance and the developer's cut has all of this plus a "cheat engine". You can create items, active god mode, etc...

But other than the cheat engine/debug mode, same thing?

There were a couple minor bug fixes with the Developer's Cut release (no change log was released), compared to DKS, and changes made to the save format, but other than that the game itself is the same. A y-axis hotfix was also released for D2:DC, if you want to inverted the y-axis camera movement in dragon form.

There were quite a few changes made between D2:ED and DKS, in addition to DKS / D2:DC integrating the Flames of Vengeance add-on.

Given a choice, get D2:DC. If you already have DKS, there isn't much reason to get D2:DC if you don't want to play around with the Developer Mode cheat window (there are functions to unlock doors and teleport, so you can get into areas of the map not meant to be accessible, morph into different character models, though not engage in combat while morphed, a hotkey to remove the UI, so handy for taking screenshots, etc, in addition to the usual cheats).

Can we confirm that DD2: Developer's cut includes all of the expansions, Ego Draconis, Flames of Vengeance and The Dragon Knight Saga?

Yes, D2:DC is the complete, most up to date release of Divinity 2.

D2:ED was the original release, after which there was the add-on Flames of Vengeance
DKS = a remastered D2:ED + FoV
D2:DC = a slightly updated DKS with an added, optional 'Developer Mode' cheat window

I had one of those weird issues trying to get DC running, but then DKS worked fine, so I figured unless there was extra story content, why not just enjoy the game LOL

Thanks Raze_Larian for clarification. I still have to finish DD 1 first, but have DD:DC already bought.

i have an old dvd Divinity Ego Draconis, is there a way to patch it to the developers cut? or do i have to buy the game again in order to have the latest patch? :steamfacepalm:

There is no way to patch from D2:ED to D2:DC.
There was a free upgrade program for a few years after D2:DC was released, which was automatic on Steam and some other digital distributors. For retail versions, that was shut down last year, after changes in EU tax laws on digital goods resulted in the Larian Vault storefront being shut down.
