Divinity II: Developer's Cut

Single weapon or two handed weapon?
Any reason to pick one or the other? I'm inclined to go for the 1st for a change.

I always go for two handers purely for the sake of style. Nothin' quite like waving around a greatsword and sending your enemies a'tumbling!

Thanks! I prefer two handers too. Im just trying to avoid having yet another greatsword warrior -they'll start trading swords across games soon :p

So does this game have a variety of good two handed weapons other than swords? Greataxes? Hammers? Something fun? Im trying to avoid spoilers so not googling.

Edit: Thanks. Going with single weapon for more variety :)

In the original release there was some debate about whether dual wielding or two handed was more effective. With balancing changes in the Developer's Cut, dual wielding is more effective (twice the bonuses / enchantments, and the magic damage bonus/enchantment of each weapon applies to both, and to spells).

Even unarmed combat is viable, though, so you can choose based on preferred style or aesthetics.

Thats good to know. Im still in the first village and its surroundings. I understand I can reset my skills later in the game?

So I reset my skills and went for dual, and there was something like 30% increase on damage. Eh well... I dislike dual wielding cause its not realistic, but then my character turned into a dragon so I thought that ship has sailed :P

in this game does do the bows count as "two hand weapons"

From what the skill description writes two handed expertise is two handed swords not bows.
