Xbox controller not working with Proteus

I just bought this game, and it does not seem to detect my Xbox 360 controller... It works fine with other games on Steam, am I doing something wrong ?

The controller doesn't work for the starting menu, but it's been working just fine for me in the regular game.

Same here. I heard that it would just work when plugged in, even though there're no settings in the options for it, but that was not the case for me. Tried it in the game itself--nothing.

I got my controller to not work by unplugging it and plugging it back in, but when I restarted Proteus with the controller plugged in it worked again. You might try restarting Proteus with the controller plugged in. You could also check out the forums at www.visitproteus.com, but the only threads in there about controller troubles are about non-XBox controllers. Ed said they plan on broadening the controller compatibility in the update, so hopefully the problem you're facing will get fixed too.

It's a simple problem that happens on a lot of games; just make sure your controller is plugged in/turned on before you boot up the game.
