I beat the game?
So I played through all 4 seasons and did some random exploring. During winter I sat in that ring of statues and then I started to slowly float upwards and then my eyes closed. After they closed it took me to the menu screen. So did I "beat" it (if it's possible to, anyways)? If not then what the hell happened and what did I do? lol

I like the game, personally. It's very relaxing. Anyways I wasn't meaning for this post to invite trolls, I honestly want to know what happened.

That's the end of the game, so if you consider reaching the end of the game to be "beating" it then yeah, you beat it.

However, like a lot of games there are alternate endings and extra objectives in Proteus, It's like Far Cry 3. Do you consider that game "beaten" if you simply finish it? Or do you consider it beaten once you've seen all the endings? Or do you only consider it to be beaten once you get 100% completion?

If it's either of the latter then you haven't beaten Proteus yet.

Best answer and I agree. These simpletons who mock this game wouldn't understand a concept that simple. Proteus is not for everyone that is for sure.

I played this game many times but I always end in that night. But while was the third night with that floating whispers everywhere I stop walking near the hut and world around me just stop with me and the funny but strange tune started playing. This happens me only once. I really hardy find something "new" on island... :/

Maybe there's some subtle symbolism or something behind why you float in winter. A lot of this game, I think, comes from extrapolating thoughts and dreams from the experience, so the profundity of what happens is on a very individual basis.

For me, this game is like what it might be like to be Adam in a new Eden.

one does not simply "beat proteus."
