Constantly looking down in game

So whenever I load up a new island it starts off in the ocean then my character looks down and can look up but is constantly forcing you to look back down. is the game like this? I played it a while ago and it was fine and I am just now playing this again

I've reported it to Ed, and he said that they would look into it, though this was months ago.

I finally figured out that it was my joystick that was plugged in to my computer caused the constant down looking. Thanks for reporting it though, maybe this can be fixed so I can play the game with my joystick plugged in and not have to worry about this issue

My remedy is to avoid looking down. :(
