Masochist Legend truly is masochistic lol
So I've been trying to do the less than 30 stamina achievement on a character and thought I'd just blow through it by using the sleep method. Dropped my character of choice down to 40 in a matter of a few hours!

Once I hit below 40 is when things took a turn. Randomly after a few sleep sessions, a message will appear that says "Pushed to the limit, the student left the school." Since age correlates with stamina, I am assuming this is another way of saying the character died? He is not selectable after that nor is he in the infirmary or with the other students.

Reloading the save, I would try to save after every 10 sleep sessions just to see if it was a hard limit.

Once I hit 38 stamina, he would start reaching his limit a lot sooner and I moved the saving to every 5 sessions. I got it down to 37 now but it definitely seems like it's gonna be a little tedious with reloading constantly to get it down reliably. I also set myself to offline as I'm doing this to spare my steam friends from seeing me playing the game so much lol

Maybe I'll try losing 1 stamina every game session to make it less tedious til I hit below 30. :pug:

Oh wow.

In Wizardry you're only supposed to die of "old age" when you level up, with Vitality dropping bellow minimum.

What's your character's Vitality? Try pumping it up with that Psionisist spell and see if thst helps. My character was an all-teens superstar in stats.

That is actually a very clever observation! He is a fairy at level 2 and he has 11 vitality. What spell are you suggesting to use?

I don't remember what it's called in this version. It's the Level 7 Psionicist spell that can improve a single attribute, then you forget it until you level up again.

At level 2, I assume you're not actually going to use that character once you get the achievement.

Yeah my plan was to use him purely as an achievement character lol. In this version the spell I believe you’re taking about is called Invigorate.

I got him down to 34 stamina just the other day. I might take him into Haint to get the last bits of stamina down.

For anyone that looks at this thread in the future...

I got the character I was losing stamina for the achievement down to 34 stamina before I decided to take him with my main team into Haint Path. There's a floor in there with a LOT of sword encounters that give you guaranteed chests.

Two of my casters knew Chestor to identify the chest trap, and Unlock to unlock the chests I wanted to keep (mostly gold ones at this point lol).

I fished for Devilish Curse, which lowers the person who triggers the trap's stamina by 1. Farmed the chests until I encountered a Devilish Curse and used the character of choice to open it and trigger the trap. Repeat until achievement popped! Easy! Also, lots of loots. :ssshappy:

Good to hear. Nope, I didn't get that far yet.
