If you want stories in your blobbers, check out Labyrinth of Refrain and Labyrinth of Galleria.
Or Zanki Zero, for something even more heavily scenarized.
If you liked Etrian Odyssey but wished it had an actual story, there's the two Etrian Odyssey Untold (only on 3DS) which are remakes of the first two games, but with some more objectives and reasons to explore.
Also manual mapping is only really a thing in Etrian Odyssey. In most other games like that you're only going to put down annotations on your map.
Thanks for the tips. I think i will give this game a chance.
I actually like the dungeon crawler rpg genre. Had played games like mary skelter, moero chronicle and unchained blades, and all were great experiences.
I actually have labyrinth of refrain in my library, bought it during a sale long ago and forgot i had it. Think it might be a good time to try it out. Thanks.
Whenever I play the PSP all that disk loading scares my fellow passengers on the bus. This game doesn't shy away from loading screens.
