What types of Game Modes are there like Campaign Mode, Sandbox Mode?

Hi! I started new game and it changed t oa tiny window. When I pressed alt-enter for full screen it stayed on very low resolution. After a couple of restarts to the game I was able to up the resolution to 720p in game options, but I have a 1440p monitor. How to change reolution to 1440p? Edit: found the bug - have to click on the resolution option very many times before it goes higher....
