Single Player
Is this game worth buying if I want to play only single player modes? I am mainly interested in career mode (I assume this game has it if previous game had). I am aware that (as always) game is poorly received but I know it's because of its multiplayer aspect and scammy scripting.

So, is the career mode any good?

I'm enjoying the career mode so far as the player (Haven't checked out the manager one yet) but I haven't seen any bugs really, other than when you have the "news" section in one of the segments It looks like the camera is off-center to the left but it's rare.
Haven't had any gameplay bugs and I don't play multiplayer anyways so it's okay

What about the offers from clubs? I always was dissatisfied because clubs never tried to buy you if you played well, the only way to change the club was to leave on your own.

Basically when you play the career you get certain goals for each team

For ex. as I'm at Bayern I had to be 88%/100% First team
22 assists
20 goals
to extend the contract, but if you get more you can bargain for more pay

You can choose any club to focus on and you will get checkmarks for that club that you need to obtain.
Your agent will talk to you about everything you do and will inform you about upcoming transfer times where you can't change the pay you want etc etc.

Other than having an option to extend and choose your agent will give you about 10 propositions dependant on your playstyle which clubs fit you if you want to go to them as sometimes the clubs will send scouts and everything you do (scoring goals and so on for checkmarks) will count as x2 (1 assist = 2 assists and so on)

There may be a possibility that a club approaches you with their offer but I didn't have that happen due to a very high cost of my pro player.

That sounds interesting. What about the progress? I really hated when after first year of playing as an average Joe I could join top clubs. I would like to play as an average player for first few seasons in some 3rd grade clubs and climbing my way up.

Like I said, it's up to you as even though I'm overall 96 I can join Real Madrid/Inter/Newcastle but also got propositions from smaller clubs.

When you choose a very specific smaller club in a lower league and get its checkmarks done you can join a smaller club if you choose to do so even if you have better options.

PS.
You choose the club in "Your path" under Your agent option.

So you don't have the stupid objectives like succesfully make x amount of sliding tackles? That is a game breaker for me as I have that. As a CAM, I need to make 51 sliding tackles while mainting a absurd high %'s of tackles won.. and this is only for me to be able to renew my current contract, with the lowest amount of money given. Increasing it makes me have to make 70+ sliding tackles.. Its stupid.

Oh, that's interesting, so a different position equals different objectives, as a ST i mainly have to shoot or assist or dribble past, but sometimes i have to have very specific objectives like 14 goals with scissors which didnt allow me to join real madrid

OOf, I agree, that sounds stupid.

This is basically what I am experiencing, except I have to do sliding tackles. 5 bicycle kicks goals in a season just to earn a new contract :|
https://www.reddit.com/r/EASportsFC/comments/16pf4tg/ridiculous_objectives_ruin_player_career/

Doesn't matter how many assists, goals or average rating I got, Liverpool couldn't use me because I didn't complete the sliding tackles. So I got sent on loan to Chelsea for the new season.. and again have to make 50+ sliding tackles in a season -_-

I could understand challenges like having % of accurate passes, having certain number of shots on target during the season... you know, statistics that actually matter. As a defender having a goal for a successful taking the ball from the opponent is reasonable, but forcing to do it by sliding tackles only is just stupid.

Same with strikers. You did 30 goals and 5 bicycle kick goals - you are awesome. 70 goals and only 3 bicycle kick goals - you are useless.
