EAFC Double controller input

I've played this game for a few hours and my controller worked just fine before. I use a PS4 controller with bluetooth, no DS4Windows. I took a break from playing, come back a few weeks later and suddenly EAFC doesn't recognize my controller on start-up. The bluetooth controller itself works perfectly in the windows menus and other games. but EAFC won't detect any input. I tried using the steam controller overlay, which gave me input. Issue is that now it recognises my controller as Input 2 & 3, and not input 1. Every button gets pressed twice.

I've tried DS4Windows, same result. The game only works perfectly when I play with my controller connected via USB, as if I'm playing on a ps2. Just pisses me off that something that worked perfectly before, suddenly doesn't. Does anyone have a solution?

im having the same issues since dec 15th... EA is absolute garbage.

I am sure ea have done something while updating a bug or fixing it but at the same time it caused other issues like yours

Have you tried going into the properties of the game, and in the controller section, there is a section that says Override for EA Sports FC 24 and set it to Disable Steam Input. That seemed to fix the double input issue for me.
