What OVR compared to the rest of your squad is the player(s)? It might be worth negotiating contracts and lowering their squad role if you can. This would reduce their demand for game time if you can have them as rotation or sporadic but it will be difficult if their OVR is similar to your starting 11's. I got annoyed at this too but I suppose if his role is Important or crucial as his contract stipulates then they'll expect that to reflect their game time.
Re the tiredness thing, I adjust the training regularly depending on how many days are between matches. If the next game is in 2 days then I put them all on all out energy, but if it's 3-4 days then I use balanced. Anything more I leave it on performance (but not all out). This means my starting 11 are always fresh for games, but it's worth mentioning that you may want to adjust your subs and reserves if they aren't playing to keep them fit and not the whole team, because otherwise they won't be match sharp.
Hope this is somewhat useful.
I dont know the exact numbers, but maybe you can google it.
No problem, hope it helps in some way! Let us know.
