Division Rivals matchmaking

My squad is only 82 rated but get opponents with 88-90 rated. I don't know much about rivals since I rarely play rivals. I'm playing because of some objectives requirement.
Is this normal? I thought we're matched against opponents around the same level.

same skill level not squad level so if the other got a much better squad its normaly a worse player

yes but i played 2.5 team vs 88 90 rated player....... if you think is correct?
