- The automation stuff was initially confusing. Seems like it works pretty "automagically" which is cool once you figure it out, but sometimes workers appear to be idle in work zones and it can be a challenge to diagnose the problem.
- There's a few things that require you to go in and manually operate, such as collecting seeds and repositioning the mine extractors, that feel against the ethos of the game. It'd be nice to eventually upgrade/automate every part of the process.
- The train station entrance can get really crowded if you have many visitors waiting for entry. I wish the area they tooled around in was a bit bigger.
- It feels like the couriers should be able to deliver feed from one farm to another, or move ore from one mine to a production zone, for example. Right now the zones feel like bubbles.
- It'd be nice to see the requirements of a challenge before you schedule it.
- Are there incentives to run many different types of shops other than just higher sell prices / personal preference? I like that it just lets me do my own thing but it'd be cool if there were synergies/visitor preferences to explore.
Great game so far; a perfect marriage between cozy town builder and automation game. Loving the updates!
And I especially don't like playing as a male character, which always seems to the the default for every. game.
It feels like from the jump, this game would not have much customization or choices for the player.
This game was kind of anticipated/mentioned because it seemed like there would be a lot of customization and fun choices and options, but from the start it seemed like that wouldn't be the case so I did not even finish the tutorial. People on r/CozyGames said they thought it would be a tycoon version of animal crossing or something. I primarily bought the game for this reason.
I just can't get over that fact that I can't choose my avatar in this type of game where choices/customization is such a big selling point of the game.
Also, as I was just starting the tutorial, (this is on the steam deck) the sound track popup appeared and it was way too large and distracting, especially considering I was playing muted. I think there should be a way to disable that popup. The % of screen that it covers on the steam deck is too distracting for something I didn't care about in the first place. I was playing muted.
On the steam deck, I feel like you can just simplify the controls, not because it's complicated but because there doesn't seem to be a point in why the action requires a different button.
You can. By the train station there's a customization machine. You'll also unlock some new options as you progress.
Though seeing as this question comes up a lot, maybe letting you customize before starting, or even just directing the player over there at the beginning, to 'freshen up' or something, would be a good idea.
ps. just a opinion i love this game so muchhh
1. It would be great if a server could be established so that players could visit their friends’ towns and compete with users worldwide in terms of town development. Whenever I complete the game, I always see my town ranked first with a score of 1208. However, this ranking system does not hold much meaning for players who have fully cleared the game. If a server were implemented, allowing players to visit each other's towns, share their progress, and encourage competition, it would make the game even more enjoyable.
2. The number of floor tiles available is significantly limited. From a design perspective, adding just a few basic options for each category would allow players to create much more beautiful and stylish towns.
As someone who has played many games of this kind, I believe this game is truly outstanding. While these requests may be difficult to implement immediately, I sincerely hope that they will be considered and incorporated in the future as the game continues to improve.
1. Would be good if we can also have the list of shops and amenities/services we constructed in the phone
The map is not very useful to show which maps have we constructed.
2. The logic of workers working in fishing zone and resources are a bit off as it will have lots of crabs, but not enough workers fishing certain fishes whereby there's demand in shops.
3. The storage area to be auto-sort based on type, currently it's being sorted by per rack, would be nice if we can sort all items within all the racks built within the same zone.
4. Logic of the trash piling, I already maxed out all the garbage bins and try to have at least 1 to 2 in each block, also maxed out workers in 2 maintenance offices but it seems tourist still litter...
5. I agree with the opinion of others wanting to have option to upgrade the size of bag, because it's a hassle to go back and forth to the vehicle.. I understand devs made it small on purpose so users can see what's in the bag, but I think 'visibility of items' on the bag isn't that important...
