As someone who works in IT, I was intrigued by the idea of a network technician simulator. The concept has a lot of potential, especially for those interested in the field. The game introduces you to the basics of network setup and teaches you the functionalities of various network components.

However, after completing the initial courses, the lack of further challenges became apparent. Once you're done with the training, there are no new contracts to simulate real-world troubleshooting scenarios. Additionally, server and router management in the game are significantly simplified compared to real-world experience. While gamification is understandable, a bit more complexity would enhance the experience for those with existing IT knowledge.

That being said, for players with no prior IT background, this game could be a great introduction to the world of network management. It provides a user-friendly platform to learn the fundamentals of network setup and equipment.

Overall, with some additions to the difficulty level, such as more intricate troubleshooting tasks or a wider variety of network configurations, this game could become a valuable learning tool for aspiring IT technicians. It also holds promise as a more engaging experience for tech enthusiasts who enjoy network simulation.

I played the game for 2 hours and came away feeling that with some improvements, it could be a great addition to the IT learning landscape.

Can't honestly recommend this game in it's current state. There are 6 mission "types" but there is almost no variation between individual missions of each 'type'.. essentially there is currently about half an hour worth of interesting content and after that it's just doing the same thing again and again.

That said, I played the demo, knew this would be the case, and still decided to purchase anyway. I really love the idea behind it and really hope to see development continue and the core gameplay expanded on.

Too buggy. Wait for updates to fix numerous game breaking issues. Objects clipping through the floor and becoming unrecoverable, objects placed on the shelf disappearing, etc.

The game seems very unfinished for the price. You get about an hour game play and then no jobs are generated.

Started a soldering mission, put the board on the soldering table, got tired and went to bed, when I started the game up next suddenly the manual used to diagnose the board disappeared and I was unable to remove it from the table, effectively soft-locking a 9 hour save. With seemingly no help for this game out there I would say the hardest puzzle here is working through its own bugs, give it more time to cook.

Good game, and better developers! I'm having fun in this game, but there are some bugs that need to be worked on. I had a bug in my test game, got on the steam forum and mentioned it to the devs, and they responded very fast and put out a patch today, on release day! I love working with developers like these that listen to the players and get bugs fixed quick. Buy now in early access and get a great deal on a game that you will enjoy as they are going to add more content soon, Highly recommend!

If you're an IT in real life, you'll enjoy this game. If you're like my X who doesn't like technology, you won't like this game. It's fun.

Very Good Game Waiting For Updates

I stretched this game-play time to the absolute limit before I ended up requesting a refund. There is so much unrealized potential in this game.. I love the concept; I have near 3 decades of combined time in the IT field as well as board-level diag and repair. The rework station, the power supply, and the multi-meter are really next level. I mean, short of a heat gun with blower tips for surface mounting and flux gel, they really nailed most of the rework and repair side. However, one place that really falls short is the complex board repairs without a dry-erase fine-point.
Where I work, when we are checking traces and components, we use a fine point dry-erase marker to indicate what components are bad so we know what has to get pulled and what stays. Granted, there are some boards that have such a high static tolerance that we can't do it on those, but we are given a schematic or a component layout on a printout so we can mark off on that. If this game had a way to mark which tested components failed, it would be a little more on the simulator side.
Also, in some of the "missions" I guess you would call them I am seeing IP addressing with *.417.*.* or a variation there about. Unless they have discovered a new branch of IPv4, that really breaks the immersion for me. Either move to IPv6 and give the players/users a way to learn about that method of addressing or make IPv4 realistic.
Game bugs are plenty. For example, every time I start a new day I have the same message telling me to check the bank and then go through each tab in the bank before I can progress. It just got to be too much that I have to do this every new day.

Maybe I will revisit this title down the road, but for now, I ended up requesting the refund. As I said, there is so much potential for this title, but I just don't imagine that potential will ever be realized. All I can hope is for time to prove me wrong and I will come back to it down the way.

It's a pretty good game, but in it's current Early Access state, it's very short. There are only a finite number of jobs, then a mission at the end. Once you complete that, you're done until more content comes out.
