Is game worth playing? (at its current state)

I own "Wizard of Legend" and I absolutely love it, but I see that this game has mixed reviews while it got amazing graphics and from what I've seen very smooth and enjoyable gameplay.
Im waiting till it goes on sale but maybe there is something I dont see yet that causes such negative opinions.

The most negative opinions come from people that can´t accept that there are differences from the first game.
There are some valid complaints but as far as I can tell the devs seem to listen.
For example a lot of people complained that there where no dodge arcana and the last bigger patch addet them to the game.
The game is not complete yet and the decision if it´s worth it is yours but I would say you can get easy 20 h out of the content that is here depending on how much you like the gameplay even more.

Ah I see, well beside fact that game is not finished everything seems good to me.

its fun, my main complaints so far are playing against the earth bosses drills sucks and not being able to run with map overlay sucks and some other hitboxes are kind of funky. havent run into many other things that make me not want to play tho

Im glad to hear that, I really hope that gameplay will be more complex than it was in first game (maybe missions/challenges or special tasks for special items,arcanas) secrets would be also really nice :>

game is really fun just it's really short right now. You can unlock everything in about 3-4 hours and have nothing left to do.

No its not at all. Don't waste your time or money. Its only a demo and they are slowly and I mean SLOWLY working on it.

nothing left to do after 4 hours is a big miss info, the game is a roguelike, i have a 95 hours clocked in and havent gotten bored yet, and this is with minimal arcana and relics, the game will be extremely good when they add everything thats missing

No, wait like a year. There are about 4 hours of content right now. If you do get it, do not go in expecting WoL, it barely has anything in common with it as of right now.

wait the 4-5 years it'll take to finish this one. Play Hades and Hades 2 at this point really. Same feeling as this with 10x the polish.

The easiest difficulty level of the game may be beatable within the first few attempts by hardcore players of the roguelike genre. However, there are enough arcana, relics, customization options, and run modifiers to make each of your attempts feel quite different. These items are not unlockable and can't be obtained through relatively few runs. At least, I can't do it in the first 3-4 runs with 500+ hrs of gameplay.

I loved the first game and i like the sequel however i found the game hitboxes quite frustating, after playing Hades, TMNT splintered Fate and other games similar to this one it's quite obnoxious how many times i dash and got hit by Enemies and specially bosses attack, the i-frame window looks to be quite short and punish if you didn't do in perfect time.

That's my major complain about the gameplay. Aaaaaand that i can't change my character body type after selecting for the first time, would be great to be able to alternate as wish in the customization area.

I think this second iteration is coming out a masterpiece.
The gameplay needs some additions as the character build customization is a little poor imho and too much relying on whatever you gonna find along the run.
But the graphics and control are amazing to me
