The Game has no progression
The combat and spells in this game rock. But this game has almost no progression Buying spells and cheat perks are pretty much the only progression. the game is soo so so so so repetitive. It wouldn't be that bad if their was at least some progression, like some way to upgrade spells. This game is in dire need of a regenerative open world that Has some kind of progression where you can grow stronger.

it plays fairly similar to the first game, however this is just EA and it seems they are taking their time on making proper progression atm

An action game with good gameplay mechanics does not need any form of a carrot and a stick, the latter is for RPG or badly designed games where skill does not matter but "gear" does.

The gameplay is the same as the first game but in 3D, which is good enough for me.

I fundamentally disagree with your statement about progression. The charm of the game is found is creating spell and relic combinations that mesh well, and then adapting fighting styles to unique kits. I am having a lot of fun doing just what I described; I can imagine the game will only grow in scale as development continues.

thats what happens when you try to turn a good game into Hades. progression in the first game was fine, didnt fel like there needed to be more.

You should have read the early access notes.

Why Early Access?
“We’re launching Wizard of Legend 2 in Early Access to actively involve the community in shaping the game as it evolves. Early Access allows us to gather valuable feedback, refine gameplay mechanics, and ensure the final experience is as polished and enjoyable as possible. The community’s input is essential for creating a game that meets player expectations, especially in areas like multiplayer and story development.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“We plan to remain in Early Access for at least six months. During this period, we’ll be working on adding new biomes, expanding multiplayer features, and enhancing the storyline based on community feedback.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“We plan for the full version of Wizard of Legend 2 to include:
All game biomes, compared to the two available in Early Access. Two additional biomes will be introduced over time.
4-player co-op multiplayer, expanding from the current 2-player mode.
A more developed and evolving storyline. We aim to use Early Access to fine-tune gameplay and ensure that the final release is packed with content and features that the community values.
More arcana and relics will be available.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“The Early Access version is fully playable, featuring:
Two unique biomes for players to explore and master.
A 2-player multiplayer mode, which provides a solid foundation for cooperative play. The game’s core mechanics are in place, and we will continue to refine and add content, including additional biomes, multiplayer expansions, and story updates.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“There’s a possibility that the full version may be priced higher than the Early Access version, as the game will feature more content and expanded features upon full release. Early Access offers players a chance to join the adventure early at a lower price.”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“The community is crucial to our development process. We’ll actively engage with players through feedback forums, surveys, and social media, ensuring their ideas and suggestions help guide future updates and features. We also plan to provide regular development updates and communicate transparently with our players so they feel involved every step of the way.”

this game need a skill progression tree & more upgrades.... like every roguelike. People played a lot of indie games roguelikes for less money and this progression by far doesnt exist... compare to other games of the genere in 2024 this need a lot work to do... but i hope the team listen and create a good game.
