Quality Of Life Update 2023 🐹🎩

This update is way overdue, since the last one is from Feb 21, 2023 (just before I got sick) and brings a lot of quality of life improvements and small fixes.

This is everything I worked on since then, finally released.

I wanted to use the opportunity of an update to give a BIG THANK YOU to the art-community who is very supportive, understandable and patient and reports bugs and crashes and problems with PEBI so I can fix them.
With out you PEBI won't be nearly as good as it is.

We also added the GOLDEN HAT supporter DLC over on steam in case you want to support PEBI's development even further.
It is a pure supporter DLC, but you get a golden hat.

If you want to help us (and/or other game devs/creators) out without spending (more) money, please review our programs and games on itch, steam and wherever you find them. For small teams/indies a review goes a long way.
It hasn't to be Shakespeare, a simple "Like it." with "recommended" is enough.

Re-Color Layer / Coloria

A new feature requested by Vanlau[vanlau.contactin.bio] was the ability to re-color layers for emotes, so that changing colors / making new color themes gets way easier.
Big thank's to Plantprogrmmer[plantprogrammer.de] who helped with figuring the multiply blend mode out.

Emote Display Maker

The "Emote Display Maker" got manual time settings

and the ability to set the "margin left", making placing emotes practically freely on the sheet.

TimeAto error while counting down

Hey! I noticed a misfunction with TimeAto when using it. I set the Timer to 60 minutes and 5 minutes breakt time. This Update brings a lot of quality of life improvements and fixes regarding error messages and the Wizard dialog.
There were a surprising amount of annoying bugs that made it into the "stable" release that will be fixed with this release.

PEBI is made to help you, the emote artists, with your art, work and workflow. If something is annoying, please report this to us[spielmannspiel.com], so we can fix it.

Also the default start location of PEBI's windows changed, it's experimental, so please report issues if you see some.

For a full list of changes and fixes, please read the change log below, but here are the most important things:

Default Sizes

BubbleBerry[wonderl.ink] noted that in PEBI's main window default sizes were missing that are important for emote artists (28px, 56px).
I am not quite sure why they were missing. Maybe the window was too small or we just overlooked them, because "Advanced Preview" is fully customizable or we just forgot.
In any case, they are now added 💖.

Banner Maker

Can finally save/load the last images and positions on each banner and got keyboard arrow-controls for layer positioning.

TimeAto 🍅

A tool requested by Jasmineitor[www.twitch.tv] to have a reminder to take regular breaks while working.
If people like it I will add more customization like a background image, font type, font color, font auto size.
It might be inspired by the The Pomodoro Technique TM but due to international copyright laws it's not The Pomodoro Technique TM.

Tile Generator

The Tile Sheet Generator got a big overhaul, to support the workflow of emote artists even better.

First of all: THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT SUPPORT! YOU ARE AMAZING!

This Update brings the most requested * and important ** feature: HATS!
YES! Now you are previewing with style.
There of course are also numerous other new features, tweaks and quality of life improvements.
The first implementation of a “Wizard”, helping you configure the numerous features that PEBI has, especially for newer users.

This is the first big update after the steam release and (probably) the last big update before new year (smaller hotfixes and patches will of course come as needed).
There are also a few things planned for next year and lots of open tickets.
