From my experience with GameMill Entertainment, ignore the base game and purchase the game plus bundle package because Steam won't offer any means to buy the extra content separately later.
For example, Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising Nemesis Edition with the Nemesis Pack and Miraculous: Rise of the Sphinx Ultimate Edition with the Cat Noir and Ladybug Costume Pack were this way. I assume this will be too.
Yeah, that is one of the few exceptions on PC. I do own the Deluxe Edition on Steam but I can see the content from it is still available separately.
Getting back on track, Nerf Legends also offers no method to obtain the Alpha Pack or Mega Thunderhawk Blaster separately from the Digital Deluxe version.
I'm already mentally prepared for the Project-X Bundle. The console versions offer pre-orders but it seems Steam will just have it on release day.
The release date should be September 15th since that is when the Nintendo Switch pre-order ends.
