The game isn't launching

I press "play" and nothing happens, no errors or anything like that...

EDIT: i'm using windows 10, it has worked in the past so it's weird.

I mean, it used to work before i reinstalled the system, and not even a window or anything like that is popping

Hm, I am guessing then that it is not even getting as far as writing a log file (which would be in your user home directory - err.log and out.log, written to eg. C:\Users\foo\.ultratron_3.03)

Have you validated the install too - no stupid antivirus running?

I have, just disabled the AV and tried validating it, no changes...

Having the same problem, windows 11. I reinstalled, validated the install, and reset the computer. There are no log files that I can find. When I try to run ultratron.exe directly at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Ultratron I get an error that MSVCR110.dll is not found but that dll is on my computer in the system32 folder. Not sure if that's relevant. No antivirus other than the default windows security stuff. Steam looks like it's launching the game, the play button cycles through Cancel, then Stop, then goes back to Play.

Try copying msvcr110.dll into the Ultratron dir and see if that helps.

I did that and got a different error. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application." Still no log files. I enjoyed the game years ago when I bought it. Was just hoping to take it for another spin. No big deal if it's busted now, many years later.

Hm it shouldn't be busted tbh, it works generally fine everywhere. Except on MacOS. It's busted for sure on MacOS.

its just dll files, if you dont believe me, download them yourself,gave the name above.
