Fullscreen Resolution Issues
The newer OSes out there now support 4K or "retina" resolutions. Unfortunately they've chosen to do it in a slightly hacky way in order to hide the details from applications to improve compatibility, and of course, it has had exactly the opposite effect!

If you're finding that you can only see a quarter of the game screen, you will need to tweak the application compatibility properties.

Under Windows, it's "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" (set it on the .exe in Explorer)

On Mac OS X, it's "Open in Low Resolution Mode" (set it from the app properties in the Finder)

Also of use is using Alt-Enter to toggle fullscreen/windowed mode.

Hi @cprince, can you explain a bit further how one can set it from the app properties (on Mac OS X)? which file should I look for? Thanks! :)

I think you just right-click on the .app itself - locate the file in the Finder - and get the Information on it. (I know very little about Macs!)

alt+enter помогло. Теперь играю в маленьком окошке.

I still don't understand. Where is that option for Windows? Can you be more specific, please? Thanks.

I know I'm late to the party, but I'd like to potentially help regardless. The advice of cprince is sound, but allow me to expound. This is such a useful technique that every Windows user should learn how to do. I've used it for this game and many other software in the past. There are plenty of tutorials for it online already, but here is one more:

On Windows 11 Home OS build 22631.3810 (and many prior editions), open Steam. I am on Steam Version 1718904662.

Right click the game in your library. Hover over 'Manage', then click on 'Browse local files'.

Locate 'Ultratron' in the window that should have popped up. It is the one with the pretty icon. This is the application file. Right click on it, then click on 'Properties'. Or if you were to select the file with a left click, you might see a 'Properties' button in the file information pane on the right side of the window. Clicking that button is also an option.

In the new window that should have popped up, click on the 'Compatibility' tab.

Now either click the 'Change high DPI settings' button, or, if you'd like to correct this issue for all Windows users on your machine, click on the 'Change settings for all users' button before clicking the 'Change high DPI settings' button in the new popup window.

Now at the bottom of the window you should see an option under 'High DPI scaling override' labeled 'Override high DPI scaling behavior.' Check the box to the left of it. And on the drop-down menu below the words 'Scaling performed by', make sure it says 'Application'.

You're almost done. In order to save the changes you made, you're gonna wanna hit the 'OK' button on all three of those Ultratron.exe Properties windows. This will save your changes and close the windows. Or if you'd prefer to leave the windows open for further investigation, you can simply hit the 'Apply' buttons instead of the 'OK' buttons. These buttons will save your changes, but leave the windows open; a handy time saving feature if you need to tweak more settings.

Did not solve the issue for me sadly.
