Is the soundtrack available for purchase lossless?

Hey, I was asking myself the same question a few weeks ago, and the answer is no. The purchasable soundtrack here on Steam is CBR MP3 (320 kbps), and I have not found a way to buy the whole soundtrack in better quality.

If you do want to have lossless quality, you'd have to dig the music yourself from each artist's bandcamp / website and hope they offer FLAC format. Example : Scattle Bandcamp[scattle.bandcamp.com]

EDIT: Note that the whole soundtrack is available in OGG format in the game folder. It's VBR quality with a mean value somewhere around 250 kbps if I recall (may be wrong though).

Yeah I noticed the oggs, which is why I thought it would be logical that the purchase might be lossless. Wanted to check though. Thanks for the info.

There is, kinda, a way to get the loseless soundtracks: Bandcamp (like Skymirrh said).

You will have to build your own compilation from albums of each artist.
However you should note that almost all Pertubator's tracks are... free :)

Here is what you should buy, I took me quite a long time to find them all.

But it's really totally different; both Deep Cover and Horse Steppin' sound like crap to me.

The only way to get loseless from this guy is to find:
- "On Patrol" on CD or Vinyl[www.discogs.com]
- "Beach Head" only on Vinyl[www.discogs.com]
Both were released in limited number (<1000 copies)

However both tracks are available there for $0[freemusicarchive.org] @ 320kbps. They are probably the same quality as the Steam version if not better.
