*SOLVED*In-game lag
I sometimes have lag spikes in the game, it isnt very high lag but it kinda makes the gameplay easier since the enemies are slower(Im slower myself to then but it makes it easier). It cant be my laptop since I can run Shogun 2: On medium/high and basically all new games also on medium/high.

This is probably a hangover from a previous issue with a lot of glass breaking at once, although I thought this had been fixed. Are there any particular chapters on which you experience the problem? Or any reoccurring events which make it slowdown? For example: lots of glass breaking, or bullets being fired etc.

It lags for me when steamworks is on, with it off it runs fine.

To be honest I dont know, it happens on all the chapters and sometimes it suddenly vanishes. Sometimes it happens when I killed a lot of people and sometimes it just happens out of the blue, like at the start. It's kinda random really.

Hmm, have you tried with steamworks off as the other gentleman suggested?
Steamworks seems to have a lot of bad habits right now.

turned off steamworks...still runs horribly. turned off surfaces...still runs horribly. turned on blood...still runs horribly -_-
whatever 💀🎺 Dec 28, 2012 @ 7:27pm
Runs perfectly smooth on a high end machine. Maybe the spec requirements are too low.

Im having the same problems here, turned everything off. The specs are NOT the problem

I know its a bit late, but I found that lag is caused by having the game in your steam folder. Simply move the game out of your steam folder than run it with the execuable from a different location. Fixed my problem.

My one runs really smoothly, then jumps into a really laggy mode every other minute. It's a bit odd, but I don't know if it's the game, or my laptop
Pro Hunter 2024 Jun 23, 2013 @ 12:39pm
The game ran very good for me like 3 hours and the next time i started playing same kind of lag, the game becomes much slower (yes it makes the game a little easier but i dont want that) and this has been going on for quite a long time and yes steamworks on or off doesnt help at all neither does the surfaces. I would blame my laptop for it but the question is why did it run VERY GOOD! for 3 hours and suddenly started to be a ♥♥♥♥♥? any help?
