Cloud Saves?

I played through this game on one computer. Now I'm on a new computer and would like to go back to some chapters, improve my scores, find the couple puzzle pieces I need, etc. But when I start the game on this new computer, all of the chapters are locked. Are there no cloud saves in this game?

There's no cloud support in Hotline Miami.

If you want to carry your saves to another computer, you have to copy them from the old computer. There are two locations depending on which version you use:

• For original version: go to "<steamfolder>\steamapps\common\hotline_miami" and then you have all the files "achievements.dat", "keyboard.dat", "mask.nfo", "saves.dat", "stats.sav", and "tempsave.sav" which contain all the info about your progression (and settings in case of "keyboard.dat").
  
• For updated version: there's only one save file, located under "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\My Games\HotlineMiami\SaveData.sav"

Hello, I know this is 2 years later, but has the game since been updated with cloud save? On the store page it doesn't say it does, but in my library it has the small cloud symbol and in properties it says would I like to use steam cloud and sync my data?

Yes, it has been updated and Steam Cloud is enabled :)

I know I'm pretty late but my cloud saves don't seem to be syncing:(
I have steam works enabled and have been playing alot on my laptop. Want to carry on with my setup at home.

Steam Cloud only works for Updated version, not Original version. Also, make sure that you did not disable Steam Cloud for Hotline Miami (right-click on the game in your library -> Properties -> Updates -> "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization" should be ticked).
