Is the Hotline Miami Soundtrack copyrighted? [Youtube Content ID]
Hey Guys, got a Copyright ID on one of my Videos of Hotline Miami 1, and since I have no actual Proof that I have Permission or Ownership of anything from the Video, IS Hotline Miami a copyrighted thing which i am not allowed to upload to Youtube?

EDIT: Going through my Steam post history and I got all nostalgic over the time I tried to be a Youtuber, ha!

No. You're allowed to upload any video of the game with the in-game music.

Also i'm pretty sure the developers encourage it (but don't quote me on that).

Well, i will get an Permission from the Developers themselves then.

Unless M.O.O.N or Scattle, or anyone else whose music is in the game has a mental breakdown over you putting music in your streams, which is HIGHLY unlikely, considering they've already generated massive amounts of revenue because of Hotline Miami's soundtrack, then I wouldn't worry about it.

TL;DR: Go for it fam.

thx ma boi

I dont think so, the amounts are not that massive, remember that hundreds of people helped on the making of the game and they have to be paid, even the guy who holds the pencil for the devs.

Dude, are you dense?
The game sold around 130k+ copies (Still going on today, since it's such a great game.), not to mention the fact that the artists in the OST's popularity went UP because of the game's soundtrack alone. (Granted, the game's action-filled gameplay helped that out too.)
Nevermind that, but there are thousands of videos and streams of Hotline Miami on the internet and Twitch, and I guaranatee you that 90% of those haven't been flagged for copyright by the original owners.
(The other 10% were flagged by ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ online who take copyright too seriously and believe they're some kinda White Knight for the artists.)
All in all, it's not illegal to stream a game that YOU paid for, with soundtracks in the background that you pretty much paid for too, considering the songs are at the most, 5$ max. Hence why there's Soundtrack downloadables in the store, and other items for the game.

TL;DR: They could give less of a damn, everyone WAS paid by the release of the 10 thousandth copy.
Sorry, didnt mean to annoy you, just a point of view.
Now that you showed me the numbers i see that you are right.

I like how the developers are so lenient with their copyright.
