I't certainly made the game run well enough for me to complete it. This made the menu bar and the dock disappear. Just don't Option+Tab out of the game or they may return.
Pay attention to option number 3 in the video. Just note that there's an app called HotlineMiamiSteam.app inside Hotline Miami.app. It's the innermost app that you should change the settings for, Hotline Miami.app is just the launcher.
The developers really should release a patch for the Mac version. The game's not that old yet, and it's practically unplayable as it is...
Still would be nice to play through the 3rd screen. Music is great and I'd buy the second one if I could get the issues solved.
