Could a film adaption actually work?

Let's be honest , this game has a lot of potential for being made as a movie...if it's in right hands of course.So what is your opinion? Who shall play the characters,who shall take the director,producer roles? Feel free to write your opinion.

I think it could work as a movie but I doubt people would like it. Or they make it audience friendly and take away the feel of the game and then the fans will hate it.
What Im trying to imply is that no director with experience would want to make it to a movie to impress the fans as the financial risk could be serious.

Well it would be advertized as a "slasher flick" so the people that would go to see it would be into that.

On hotline Miami 1 itself, I'm not sure, I'd like to see a long movie combining Hotline 1 and 2, as 2 takes place before, during, and after the events of the first game.
